Homeschooling: An introductory course.
Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?
With more and more families choosing to homeschool their children, we decided to turn to someone in the trenches and find out more about the benefits and challenges of this growing trend. Michelle Backes has been passionately (and humorously) homeschooling her children for the past two years.
Kathleen and Michelle discuss the pros and cons of homeschooling, the support systems available, and how parents can get started.
Michelle, her husband and two children live in Lindstrom, MN where she is currently the Chaplain for the MN Lynx WNBA team since 1999. Michelle enjoys mentoring young women and speaking to schools on many faith related topics and has been homeschooling children Carmen 7, and Beau 5, for the past two years. Michelle and Kathleen have been close friends since childhood.
And...tune in to a later show where Michelle returns to talk about her personal journey with Lyme Disease. Click here for the Lyme Disease interview.
