Adriana Barraza was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her breathtaking performance as an illegal immigrant nanny in Babel. The role also earned her Golden Globe and Sag nominations. She is well known in her home of Mexico as a veteran acting coach and actress of Televisa telenovelas. Babel is Kathleen's favorite film of 2006.
